Running for State Assembly Talk & Workshop – Jon Hecht

MA State Congressman Jonathan Hecht (HLS ’88) will be leading a talk and workshop about running for the state legislature. He will be speaking about his own experiences campaigning and working on behalf of constituents. We hope that this workshop will be highly practical for students interested in political office. Please bring questions!

The HLS Urbanists are working alongside the HLS Democrats, ACS and WLA to put on a series of workshops focused on activism in state and local government that will give current students the skills they need both to be an asset to a political campaign, and to run for office. The series of events will bring four local elected officials, Michelle Wu, HLS ‘12, Jan Devereux, Setti Warren, and Jonathan Hecht, HLS ‘88, to present workshops on the practicalities of running and governing at the city, county, and state level.
