02/07/2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm

the-prison-in-twelve-landscapes-2016Please join us for a screening of the critically-acclaimed documentary The Prison in Twelve Landscapes. This film explores how the US prison system manifests itself in our communities by looking at twelve different “landscapes” in American towns and cities. The movie is a moving, visually compelling indictment of the carceral state and its role in the perpetuation of racial injustices across the country.

The film screening will be followed by a Q&A with the director herself, Dr. Brett Story, led by Dehlia Umunna of the Criminal Justice Institute at HLS. The screening will begin at 7:15 in Northwest B – 103, 52 Oxford St, Cambridge, MA 02138 (see map).
