Do you love pickles? Do you crave kimchi? Do you want to make healthy and delicious fruits and vegetables even more healthy and delicious? Come to Food Soc’s second pickle making workshop on Tuesday, January 9 at 5:30 PM! We will learn about what makes something a pickle and why it’s such a common type of traditional food preparation, and will explore a host of possible produce and flavoring combinations. You will get to make and take home your own pickles, which will be ready to eat in as little as two weeks. All produce, spices, jars, and tools will be provided. (If turnout is extremely high, we might charge $3-5, payable by cash or Venmo, to offset the cost of supplies, but otherwise it’s all free.) If you’ve ever wondered what to do with that odd root at the farmers market, now’s your chance to find out how to pickle it!
