Zach Westhoff (’24) is a 3L at Harvard Law School. Before studying Applied Physics at Brigham Young University, Zach served a mission in Kobe, Japan. He has interests in intellectual property as well as transactional law. When he’s not attending class or chasing his son Griffin around the park with his wife Laura, you can find Zach baking cookies, playing video games, or pining after the ski slopes of the mountain West.

Vice President/ Treasurer: Jeremiah Scanlan

Jeremiah Scanlan (’24) is a 3L at Harvard Law School. He previously received a B.A. in International Relations from Brigham Young University. When not reading, hiking, biking, or birdwatching, he also serves on the board of the Harvard Animal Law Society.

Outreach Chair: Jack Bagley

Jack Bagley (’24) graduated summa cum laude from Brigham Young University with a BS in Economics. He took 2 years off during his time at BYU to serve as a missionary in Hong Kong. Jack spent his 1L summer in New York making war with shareholder activists as part of Sidley Austin’s Shareholder Activism and Corporate Defense practice group and will spend his 2L summer at Ropes & Gray’s Washington D.C. office. In law school, he has worked as a research assistant for multiple professors and is currently an Olin Fellow in Law & Economics. Jack is a total law & economics nerd who finds every excuse to ramble on about what is and isn’t “efficient.” His wife, Monica, can vouch.

Events Chair: Kenna Pierce

Kenna Pierce (’24) grew up in Denver, Colorado and earned an undergraduate degree in Communications at Brigham Young University. She served a Spanish-speaking mission in Carlsbad, California. At HLS, she’s participated in the Harvard Law Entrepreneurship Project, the Immigration and Refugee clinic, and the Harvard Journal on Legislation. She’s also held the prestigious role of pianist and lead cowbell player for the HLS Parody Band. Kenna is planning to practice transactional law after graduation, and she’s planning to work in the emerging companies space.

Academic Affairs Chair: Zachary Weaver

Zachary Weaver (’25) is a 2L at Harvard Law School. Prior to studying at HLS, Zach served as a missionary in Fukuoka, Japan, earned a Bachelor’s degree in American Studies at Brigham Young University, and worked as a researcher/writer at the podcast “History that Doesn’t Suck!” Zach is most interested in issues of class action and complex litigation, as well as anything to do with appellate law. He spends his free time hanging out with his beautiful wife and watching his beloved Las Vegas Raiders lose.

Speakers Chair: Brecken Denler

Brecken Denler (’25) is from Mesa, Arizona.  Before law school, he worked in Washington, D.C. for Senator Mike Lee of Utah as a legislative staffer, special assistant, speechwriter, and press secretary.  Brecken has a political science degree from Brigham Young University, and he took a two-year break from his undergraduate studies to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Lima, Peru, where he became fluent in Spanish.  At Harvard, Brecken participates in the Harvard Federalist Society—of which he is the Vice President of Speakers—the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy, and the Harvard Law Students for Life.
