“Using Existing Law to Protect Farmed Animals” – A Talk by Kathy Meyer, Director of the Animal Law & Policy Clinic

October 2, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

On World Farm Animal Day, Harvard’s very own Kathy Meyer is going to present some of the litigation she has been involved with that has aimed to protect farm animals. From challenging practices at confined animal feeding operations (CAFOs), or factory farms, to fighting for substantive protections for poultry and other animals, Kathy has been involved in several legal battles on behalf of farmed animals. Now at Harvard’s Animal Law & Policy Clinic, Kathy has continued to lead students in important legal advocacy on behalf of farmed animals. Come hear about her experiences, her career path, fighting for animals’ rights on farms, and more! Bring questions (and lunch)!
