On behalf of the Women’s Law Association, congratulations on joining the Harvard Law School Class of 2019! We are looking forward to welcoming you to the Harvard campus this fall.
The Women’s Law Association is devoted to providing support for the women of HLS in law school and beyond. Our various activities include career development, support for first year students, and social and volunteer activities. Visit our website at hlsorgs.com/wla to sign up for our weekly email and learn more about our organization! We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to participate in your first activity as an HLS student: the WLA’s Big Sister Little Sister Mentoring Program.
Sign up for the Women’s Law Association Big Sister Little Sister Mentoring Program!
How do you feel about starting the year at HLS – Nervous? Anxious? Excited? All three? The WLA is here to help! Sign up for the Mentoring Program, and we will match you with a Big Sister who can help make your transition to HLS easy and fun. Big Sisters are a diverse group of 2L, 3L, and S.J.D. women who remember what it’s like to be new to HLS and want to be a resource to you.
What does it mean to be a Little Sister?
- Based on your interests, you are matched with a Big Sister who will contact you in August to answer your questions and share her experiences with you.
- You will be invited to a fall Big Sister/Little Sister Kick Off Party to hang out with your Big Sister, and to more events throughout the year specifically for Big and Little Sisters.
- Your Big Sister will stay in touch with you throughout the year to see how you are doing, offer advice, and answer any questions. How much contact you have with your Big Sister is up to you. Many Big/Little Sisters become good friends!
