The Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration Moot is an annual investor-state arbitration competition. Each year, the HLS team competes against over 80 universities from all over the world, in both written submissions and oral argument. The 2016 oral argument will take place in Buenos Aires.

Successes

In 2015, the Harvard team won first place for Best Respondent Memorial and and fifth place overall in oral argument.

The team has won recognition every year since its founding in 2012.

  • 2014: Highest Ranked Team (First place overall, based on oral advocacy and written submissions), Best Respondent Brief, Third Place Claimant Brief.
