The Community Outreach Committee organizes several short-term community service projects for BLSA members to participate in during the academic year. Past efforts have included:
- Toys for Tots
- Book drive to benefit children in Namibia impacted by HIV/AIDS
- Blood Drive in conjunction with the American Red Cross
- Holiday-card writing campaign for inmates
- Drive for Famine in Niger
