Kirkland & Ellis NYC Success Talk

Members of the WLA working in NYC this summer were lucky enough to spend the evening with two incredibly accomplished women, one a partner at a prestigious law firm, and the other working in finance & strategy at one of the most successful fitness chains in the nation, Equinox. Kathryn Leonard (pictured center), a corporate partner whose practice focuses on debt finance transactions, spoke about her experience as a partner as well as a woman in the legal industry and gave advice on the best ways to interact with and serve clients. Bronwyn James (pictured third from right), Director of Finance & Strategy at Equinox, detailed her interactions with law firms through her role at Equinox, giving attendees a valuable client perspective.  Julie Greenbaum (pictured third from left), a junior associate at Kirkland, also joined the conversation and shared some of her experiences so far working in the corporate practice with Kathryn, which was especially useful for the many WLA members who will be junior associates at firms in the near future.
