April 24 — Space, Bioethics, and the Law of Exploration

Join the Harvard Space Law Society for a unique conversation at the intersection of space, medicine, and technology. This event will feature Rebekah Reed, Associate Director in the Belfer Center’s Program on Emerging Technology, Scientific Advancement, and Global Policy, alongside Erik Antonsen, President of The Organization for Space Medicine, Engineering, and Design and Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School. Together, they will explore the emerging field of space bioethics and the evolving regulatory challenges that accompany human activity beyond Earth.

October 29 — Space and National Security with Former Space Force General Counsel Peter Beshar

Join HSLS for a talk by the Honorable Peter J. Beshar. Mr. Beshar served as General Counsel of the U.S. Department of the Air Force from 2022 to 2025, where he was the Chief Legal Officer and Ethics Official for both the Air Force and Space Force. In this role, he led a global team of 2,500 lawyers advising on emerging issues in space law, AI, and defense modernization.
