Coffee Talk with Josh Geltzer, Former NSC Deputy Legal Adviser

Join us to learn from Josh Geltzer about substantive national security issues, careers in national security, and advising the President.

Josh served on the National Security Council staff until January 2017, first as Deputy Legal Adviser and then as Senior Director for Counterterrorism. He also served at DOJ as counsel to the Assistant Attorney General for National Security.

Currently, Josh is executive director of the Institute for Constitutional Advocacy and Protection and a visiting professor at Georgetown University Law Center. He is also a fellow in New America’s International Security program.

After earning his J.D. from Yale Law School in 2011 and a PhD in War Studies from King’s College in London, Josh clerked for Justice Breyer and Chief Judge Alex Kozinski (9th Cir.).
