Alumna In Residence: Merritt Baer (’10), Principal Security Architect for Global Accounts at Amazon Web Services

Meet Alumni-in-Residence Merritt Baer (’10), Principal Security Architect for Global Accounts at Amazon Web Services, a cloud security expert who advises Amazon Web Services’ largest customers on technical security questions to create ecosystem-level improvements. Before joining Amazon, Ms. Baer was a Lead Cyber Advisor to the Federal Communications Commission, served at the US Department of Homeland Security, the Office of Senator Michael Bennet, and the US Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, and started her own business/legal practice advising emerging tech companies. Over lunch, which will be provided, Ms. Baer will talk about success strategies for women in the technology sector, emerging technology such as AI and cloud, and the nature of federal government cybersecurity practice. Students may also RSVP separately to meet with Ms. Baer individually before or after lunch.
