Sravya Chary, Co-President
Sravya is a 3L at Harvard Law School. This past summer she was a summer associate at Sidley Austin LLP in Washington D.C. and was previously an intern at the Department of Justice, Civil Division’s Office of Vaccine Litigation. Prior to law school, Sravya received her master’s in Bioethics from Harvard Medical School and a master’s in Supply Chain Analytics from Rutgers Business School. Concurrently, she spent five years at Novartis Pharmaceuticals and was most recently a drug pricing manager. During her master’s, Sravya was a student fellow at the Petrie-Flom Center, where she assessed the comprehensiveness of the risk/benefit assessment prong within section 564(c) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. In her free time, Sravya enjoys skiing, hiking, and watching reality TV shows.
Aarushi Solanki, Co-President
Aarushi is a 2L at Harvard Law School from Fremont, California. In 2022, she graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with major in Psychobiology. After working as an EMT, psychiatric researcher, and paralegal in a health clinic, Aarushi recognized her passion for advocacy at the intersection of healthcare, policy, and law. This past summer she interned at the California Department of Justice under the Attorney General’s Office in the Healthcare Rights and Access Section. In her free time, Aarushi enjoys trying new coffee shops and playing Nancy Drew computer games.
Ben Haward, Treasurer
Ben is a 2L in the JD/MPH program. He graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology where he was involved in the school Peer Support Program. Before coming to law school, Ben worked for two years as a research coordinator at the Lady Davis Institute for Medical Research studying psychosocial factors and cognitions underlying vaccine hesitancy and aversion to cervical cancer screening. This past summer, Ben interned with the Office of the General Counsel of the National Institutes of Health. Outside of school, Ben loves exploring the best coffee spots in Boston and playing and watching soccer!
Jolie Kemp, Co-Events Director
Jolie is a 2L at Harvard Law School from Palo Alto, California. She graduated from Dartmouth College with majors in Government and French. Before HLS, Jolie worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company in Washington, D.C., where she supported a range of healthcare clients ranging from Medicaid insurers, government agencies, to women’s health service providers. She also spent a year at Pivotal Ventures, Melinda French Gates’ philanthropy, where she helped make investments in caregiving and adolescent mental health to support women and families across the United States. In her free time, Jolie enjoys running, reading, cooking, and trying new restaurants.
Marie Zhang, Co-Events Director
Marie is a 2L from Brookline, Massachusetts. She graduated from Wellesley College with a major in Data Science, and from Harvard Medical School with a Master of Science in Biomedical Informatics. Marie’s interests lie at the intersection of biotechnology and the law. In her free time, Marie enjoys ballet, tennis, and searching for good restaurants in the Boston area.
Carolyn Daly, Communications Director
Carolyn is a 3L from upstate NY and Texas. She graduated from Rice University with majors in Social Policy Analysis and History. Before law school, Carolyn helped pass a law in Texas banning non-consensual pelvic exams, kickstarting her interest in health law. Carolyn also worked in nonprofit consulting at Bridgespan and helped philanthropists invest in mental health. As a law student, she interned with Campaign Legal Center, the Texas Civil Rights Project, the California Department of Justice’s Government Law Section, and McDermott Will & Schulte, pursuing her joint interests in health litigation and election litigation. In her free time, Carolyn loves playing soccer, hiking, and trying new ice cream places.
Dasha Smolina, Internal Outreach Manager
Dasha is a 1L at Harvard Law School. In 2023, she graduated from Boston University with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering. Prior to law school, she worked as a cybersecurity engineer at Check Point Software Technologies. She is interested in how technology is changing healthcare, particularly with regard to data privacy, artificial intelligence, and mental health. In her free time, Dasha loves playing sports.
Allen Litvak, Social Media and Website Manager
Allen is a 2L from Pensacola, Florida. Prior to law school, he worked as a project analyst for the Department of Defense’s Biological Threat Reduction Program, largely focusing on reinforcing Cameroon’s ability to detect and respond to emerging disease, especially zoonoses. He also worked for a plaintiffs’ law firm on pharmaceutical and medical device mass torts. He attended college at Washington and Lee University, where he studied biochemistry and politics. When not on campus, Allen enjoys skiing, hiking, sailing, and playing board games.
