Fabio Portela L. Almeida is a 2003 graduate at Universidade de Brasília Law School in Brazil. After graduating, he worked as a lawyer and, since 2006, he has been working as a Clerk in the Brazilian Superior Court of Labour Law. He also earned a Master of Laws Degree in 2007 at the same university and, In 2011, he earned a M.Phil Degree at the Universidade de Brasília Department of Philosophy. His dissertation, entitled "The evolution of a normative mind: origins of human cooperation", awarded the National Prize of best philosophical dissertation in the biennium 2010/2011. Currently, he is a SJD Candidate at the Universidade de Brasília Law School and a Visiting Researcher at Harvard Law School. His research interests are related to the interdisciplinary relationship between legal theory, biology, psychology, moral philosophy, economics, sociology and anthropology.
