Group Q&A/ Career Advice Session with Brian Israel

After the Space Startups panel, on Thu, Feb 27 at 1pm (WCC B015), students will have the opportunity to meet and talk with Brian Israel, Co-founder of ConsenSys Space, in a group session. To express interest, please fill out this form.

Brian Israel, Co-founder, ConsenSys Space

Brian has served in the U.S. State Department’s Office as a Legal Adviser, representing the United States as head of the United States delegation to the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space, having also been the co-chair of the Arctic Council’s Task Force on Arctic Marine Cooperation, an intergovernmental process to design and negotiate a governance framework for the Arctic Ocean.

In addition, Brian was the General Counsel and Secretary of Planetary Resources, a pioneering space exploration company, from May 2017 through its acquisition by ConsenSys, a blockchain venture studio, in October of 2018. Following the acquisition, Brian co-founded ConsenSys Space, a startup developing open source platforms for global public participation in space endeavors. Brian teaches Space Law at Berkeley Law.
