Charlotte Butash came to law school to pursue her interest in the intersection of gender and the law, with a particular focus on reproductive rights and justice. On campus, she is involved with the Journal of Law and Gender, the Prison Legal Assistance Project, and the Women’s Law Association, in addition to her work with HLSARJ. During her 1L summer, she interned in the litigation department of Planned Parenthood, and, during Spring Break, she provided research assistance to a reproductive justice organization in West Virginia. Charlotte graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 2017 with a degree in Political Science and International Studies and was involved in Maryland politics during her time in Baltimore.

Emma is a 2L originally from Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from Yale in 2015 with a B.A. in History. Prior to law school, Emma worked for two years at the National Institute for Reproductive Health. This past summer, she interned at New York State Office of the Attorney General in the Health Care Bureau. Emma is also a Policy Editor for the Harvard Review of Law and Policy and a member of the Mississippi Delta Project. In her free time, Emma likes to bake, talk about abortion, and smash the patriarchy (not necessarily in that order).

Chloe Cotton is a third-year joint degree student at HLS and the Kennedy School. Prior to graduate school, Chloe worked for the Denali Commission, a federal agency focused on infrastructure development in rural Alaska. She also served as the In-State Fundraising Director on Senator Mark Begich’s 2014 campaign. In addition to serving as HLSARJ’s Treasurer, Chloe is an Editor at the Harvard Law Review and is on the boards of the HLS Democrats, the Harvard Women’s Law Association, and HLS American Constitution Society. Chloe graduated from Claremont McKenna College in 2012 with a degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics, and she is from Anchorage, Alaska.

Molly Coleman is a 2L originally from Saint Paul, Minnesota. Prior to law school, Molly worked in non-profit management with City Year New York. At HLS, she is on the boards of the Women’s Law Association, Advocates for Education, and Urbanists, in addition to working as an Online Content Editor at the Harvard Law and Policy Review and the Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review. While in law school, she has interned with the Hennepin County Public Defenders and the Mental Health Legal Advisors Committee. Molly is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
