Open Inquiry hosts regular dinners that function as a forum for open and rigorous debate for HLS students. Participants propose discussion topics, which are often controversial subjects difficult to broach in other settings. Then all the attendees vote on 1-2 topics and discuss them. Everyone engages in good faith, with the goal of understanding the other side’s position rather than persuading people or scoring points.
