The Harvard Federalist Society is a group of conservative and libertarian law students.
Our chief goal is to foster balanced and open debate on the fundamental principles of individual freedom, limited government, and judicial restraint. We seek to promote awareness of these principles at Harvard Law School and beyond. Membership is open to all HLS students.
What We Do
Our activities
Each term, we organize a wide range of activities—from speeches and debates by noted legal scholars and political figures to informal social events. Our chapter hosts:
- Speaker events with conservative and libertarian scholars and judges
- Debates on current disagreements in the legal field
- Social events for members throughout the year
- Academic and professional support for members
