Co-President: Amelia Keyes ’23
Amelia Keyes (she/her) is a student at Harvard Law School originally from Brunswick, Maine. Before law school, she spent four years in Washington, D.C. working on environmental policy for the Obama White House and the think tank Resources for the Future. At HLS, Amelia is on the Environmental Law Review and is a research assistant for Professor Freeman; she also serves on the board of Law Students for Climate Accountability, an organization seeking accountability for law firms’ role in the climate crisis. Amelia spent her 1L summer at the Environmental Defense Fund. She is passionate about justice-focused solutions to climate change and in her spare time loves hiking, travel planning, and live music.
Co-President: Annalise Wagner ’23
Annalise is a 2L from St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated in 2018 from Washington University, where she studied Environmental Policy and Philosophy and ran track. Immediately before law school, she taught elementary school for two years in Memphis, Tennessee. As a 1L, she was involved with EELP, HELR, and the Mississippi Delta Project. She spent her 1L summer working for the Natural Resources Defense Council, and is interested in environmental justice and civil rights litigation.
Vice President: Sophie DeBode ’23
Sophie is a 2L from Summit, NJ. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2018 where she studied Political Science and Consumer Psychology. Between college and law school, she worked at HelloFresh on the growth marketing team for a year and then spent a few months working on food waste policy research for a food bank in Israel. At school, Sophie is involved in the food law society, the Environmental Law Review, and the Harvard Law and Policy Review. She spent her 1L summer working at the United States Department of Agriculture Office of General Counsel.

Professional Liaison: Caroline Jaschke ’23
Caroline is a 2L from Denver, CO. She graduated from Middlebury College in 2018 with a double major in English and Neuroscience. In between college and law school, she worked as a clinical research coordinator at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. At school, Caroline is part of the Mississippi Delta Project’s Environmental Justice team and the Environmental Law Review. She will also be working in the Food Law and Policy Clinic this fall. Caroline spent the past summer as an intern at the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office in the Environmental Protection Division. Outside of school Caroline loves to hike, ski, paddle board, and run.
Communications Director: Evan Wiese ’23
Evan is a 2L from Grand Island, Nebraska. He graduated from the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources at the University of Nebraska in 2018. Before law school, Evan spent a year as an AmeriCorps VISTA and worked in nonprofit fundraising with United Way of the Midlands. At Harvard, Evan serves as an Article Editor for the Environmental Law Review, is a member of the Food Law Society, and will be working in the Food Law and Policy Clinic next spring. During his 1L summer, he interned with he USDA’s Office of General Counsel in the Natural Resource and Environment Division.
