Lunch discussion: Big wins against factory farming and how they happened

An estimated 50 billion chickens are killed on factory farms each year. Agriculture is responsible for 10-12% of greenhouse gas emissions; meat, poultry, and dairy farming produce nearly three quarters of that total. What can be done to reduce the harm caused by factory farming? What advocacy strategies have already proven effective? What role can we expect alternative products like plant-based or “clean” meat to play in the future?
