CLSA Leadership 2022-2023

President: Edward Chung, Class of 2024 — Ed (he/him) is a Jamaican 2L from Valley Stream, NY. He received his B.A. in Philosophy & Human Rights from the University of Chicago. He’s excited to serve as your President for the upcoming 2022-23 school year! Being Jamaican has always been a key part of his identity and jerk chicken will always be his favorite food!

Vice President: Catherine M. Crevecoeur, Class of 2024 — Catherine (she/her) is a Haitian 2L from Hollidaysburg, PA. She received her B.A. in Environmental Studies from the University of Pittsburgh. At HLS, she is a BSA for Section 1, a Social Chair of the Black Law Students Association and spends her free time taking dance classes and binging shows on Hulu. Her favorite food is Haitian rice, sos pwa (bean sauce) and griot (fried pork).

 

Treasurer: Kamille Bernard, Class of 2024 — Kamille (she/her) is a Jamaican 2L from West Hartford, CT. She received her B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Tufts University. During her 1L summer, Kamille interned at in the Capital Habeas Unit in the Federal Community Defender Office- EDPA working on death penalty litigation. Kamille is also a member of the Black Law Students Association and Harvard Defenders. Her favorite food is saltfish and dumplings.

Secretary: Hansenard Piou, Class of 2024 — Hansy (he/him) is a Haitian 2L from Wayland, Massachusetts. After graduating from Harvard College with an Applied Math degree in 2018, Hansy worked for Capital One for 3 years as a software engineer. Since matriculating into law school in Fall 2021, he has focused on technology law, particularly data analysis and privacy. His favorite food is Haitian legume.

 

1L Representative: Charis Safiya Pitter, Class of 2025 — Charis (she/her) is a 1L from South Florida. She was born in Trinidad & Tobago, but also represents the island of Jamaica. She’s lived on many islands including St. Vincent, St. Lucia, and Grenada. Charis graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Miami in 2022 with a double Major in Political Science and Public Administration and Minors in Africana Caribbean Studies and Communication. Charis loves Carnival and plays Mas every year! Her favorite Trini food is buss up shut roti with curry goat.

1L Representative: Alexyse Lewis, Class of 2025 — Alexyse (she/her) is a Belizean 1L from Las Vegas, Nevada. She received her B.A. in Psychology and African American Studies with a minor in Sociology from Georgetown University in 2022. At HLS, Alexyse is excited about pursuing her interests in entertainment and sports law as well as building a strong community. Her favorite Caribbean food is oxtail and hudut.
