Co-President – Nate Henry, ’27
Nate is a Navy veteran who deployed with air reconnaissance teams. Before becoming co-president of AFA, Nate was Treasurer and a 1L representative. He is also a member of the Harvard National Security Journal. After law school, Nate will litigate at a firm.
Co-President – Jake Stoffel, ’27
Jake graduated from West Point in 2019 and served as an infantry officer in the U.S. Army. He is the Managing Editor of Operations of the Harvard Law Review. After graduation, Jake will clerk in the Southern District of New York.
Treasurer – Leah Foodman, ’28
Leah graduated from West Point in 2020 and served for five years as an Armor officer in the U.S. Army before coming to HLS. She spent her 1L summer in the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Washington, D.C. After graduation, Leah will clerk on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
VP of Internal Affairs – Gavin McAuliffe, ’28
Gavin is a graduate of the United States Military Academy and served as an Army officer prior to law school. At HLS, he has participated in the Veterans Legal Clinic, Transactional Law Clinic, and Harvard Law Entrepreneurship Project.
VP of Events & External Affairs – Alex Kwilinski, ’28
Alex Kwilinski is AFA’s Vice President of Events and External Affairs. Before law school he spent six years as a Logistics Officer in the United States Marine Corps. Next summer he will be working in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis.
VP of Firms and Fundraising – Tyler Tavrytzky, ’28
Tyler graduated from Yale before serving as a Space Force Acquisition Officer. He spent his 1L summer at O’Melveny & Myers’ Newport Beach office and continues to serve in the Air Force Reserve.
VP of Communications – Alec Grigorian, ’28
Alec is a graduate of Harvard College and served as an officer in the Navy before coming to HLS. He spent his 1L summer in the National Security Unit of U.S. Attorney’s Office in Boston, MA.
Enlisted Representative – Thomas Hiett, ’27
Prior to law school, Tom served as an airborne infantryman in the U.S. Army’s 75th Ranger Regiment in Columbus, GA from 2019 to 2024. After completing his final year at HLS, he will return to Atlanta, GA to work as a litigator at King & Spalding.
