Leadership

Co-President – Casey Nakamura, ’25

Casey served in the United States Army as an Air Defense Artillery Officer before attending law school. Since enrolling at HLS, she has been active in the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association and Veterans Justice Clinic.

Co-President – Brian Henson, ’25

Brian was a Navy Intelligence Officer before coming to law school. Since his arrival at HLS, he has become active in the National Security Journal, the Rule of Law and Democracy Clinic, and serves as captain of the HLS Softball Team.

VP of Internal Affairs – Jett Watson, ’26

Jett was a surface warfare officer before attending law school.

VP of External Affairs – Jake Juriga, ’25

Jake served in the United States Navy as a Nuclear Surface Warfare Officer for almost ten years prior to law school. He earned a B.S. in Control Systems Engineering Naval Academy in 2013 and a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School. His recent transition to fatherhood, with the arrival of his daughter, Ella, in May, also positions him to represent and support our organization’s community of student-parents.

Assistant VP of External Affairs – Lulu Mansour, ’25

Lulu served in the United States Marine Corps before law school. She is a research assistant for HLS’s Program on International Law and Armed Conflict and serves on the National Security Journal. Lulu is the former President of the Military and Veterans at Berkeley Law, and is currently participating in the Harvard/Berkeley exchange program.

VP of Firm Relations – Sarah McCllelan, ’25

Sarah graduated from the United States Air Force Academy and served as a Contracting Officer prior to attending law school. She is active in the Native American Law Student Association and Family Justice Clinic.

VP of Communications – Jeff Wilson ’26

Jeff graduated from UCLA before serving nine years in the United States Army as an Aviation Officer. Since his arrival at HLS, he has been active in the Veterans Justice Clinic.

Treasurer – True Merritt, ’26

True joined the U.S. Army after graduating from the University of Memphis.  She served as a Field Artillery Officer from 2017 to 2023.  Since arriving at HLS, she has been active in the Harvard Law and Policy Review and the HLS Pub scene.

1L Rep – Nate Henry, ’27

Nate is a first-year student at HLS. Prior to law school, he was a Cryptologic Warfare Officer in the Navy. He looks forward to getting involved with intramural volleyball and possibly a journal towards the end of the year.

LLM Rep – Annie Pries, ’26

Annie is an L.L.M. student focusing on national security law. A graduate of Princeton University and New York University School of Law, she has been an Active Duty judge advocate in the Navy for eleven years.
