The Armed Forces Association hosted student veteran panels that allowed current and former service members to discuss their military experience and engage with their classmates at Harvard Law School. During Spring 2017, AFA partnered with the HLS Women’s Law Association to host a panel of female student veterans, who reflected on their experiences as women in military leadership and the challenges that they had faced. AFA was fortunate to have the former Dean of Harvard Law School Martha Minow provide introductory remarks for both events. See below for pictures of our events!
Former U.S. Army Captain Adrian Perkins, HLS’ 2018, wrote an article published in Wired about the importance of fostering technology and innovation in small cities, like his hometown of Shreveport, Louisiana.
After serving for eight years as the Dean of Harvard Law School, Dean Martha Minow announced her plans to step down from the position this year. The Armed Forces Association presented Dean Martha Minow a shadow box containing the U.S. flag, AFA’s challenge coin, and a certificate from AFA thanking Dean Minow for her service and her consistent support of the law school’s former and current servicemember community. Thank you, Dean Minow!
