Thomas Najih Dorsey
A 2L from Section 3, Thomas is a JD-PhD student at Harvard Law School and the University of Oxford. He studied AI character and recursive self-improvement at GovAI and AI liability at the Institute for Law & AI. He will be a 2027 summer associate at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz. He is an editor of the Harvard Law Review.
David Gantt
David is a 2L from Section 4. Before law school, he worked as a software engineer at Goldman Sachs. He worked on AI litigation at Edelson PC and AI policy research at the Institute for Law & AI. He will be a 2027 summer associate at Latham & Watkins. He is an editor of the Harvard Law Review.
Corin Katzke
Corin is a 2L from Section 3. He studied AI-enabled surveillance at the Institute for Law & AI. Before law school, he was an AI policy researcher.
Nicolas McMullan
Nicolas is a 2L from Section 5. He researched AI constitutions at the Institute for Law & AI. Before law school, he was on the legal team at Y Combinator.
Ben Murphy
Ben Murphy is a 3L at Harvard Law School, where he researches questions of state capacity and institutional adaptation to technological change. He holds roles at the Institute for Progress, the Foundation for American Innovation, and RAND, in addition to his work on campus. He has been a Summer Fellow at the Centre for the Governance of AI and an engineer at companies including Google, Substack, and Inflection AI. He is also an Articles Editor for the Harvard Law Review.
Hanna Tuomi
Hanna is a 3L from Lexington, MA. During her 1L summer, she was a fellow with the Institute for Law & AI researching constitutional restrictions to AI-related export control enforcement. She was a litigation summer associate at Goodwin in Boston. Before law school, she worked in economic policy consulting and in the aerospace industry.
Jeff Vancil
Jeff is a 2L. Coming from a ranching family and pivoting to AI safety from the environmental movement, he has a background in student organizing, land conservation, and energy policy. He was a summer associate focusing on energy regulatory law at O’Melveny & Myers.
Joey Lutfi
Joey is a 2L from Section 3. He worked in the Orange County Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California. He will be a 2027 summer associate at Jones Day. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2025 with a BA in American Studies and Arabic.
Matt Gluck
Matt is a 2L at Harvard Law School. He cares a lot about, and is concerned about, AI and the future. He is also a massive Detroit Tigers fan.
Noah Coffman
Noah is a 2L from Section 6. He worked for the Institute for Law & AI on First Amendment issues and information sharing related to AI. Previously, he worked on AI and tech policy issues related to social media, data privacy, and AI companions. He will be a 2027 summer associate at Gibson Dunn.
Jonathan Hongsoon Kim
Jonathan is a 2L from Section 5. Before law school, he obtained an MS in Computer Science from Stanford University and worked as a machine learning engineer at Meta, focusing on advertisement ranking optimization and ML tools on Messenger, Instagram, and WhatsApp. He prosecuted AI and semiconductor patents at Fish & Richardson and will practice corporate transactional law at Davis Polk & Wardwell. Outside of AIA, he is Operations Editor of the Journal of Law and Technology and Social Chair of the Korean Association of HLS.
Evan Kanter
Evan is a 2L from Toronto. Before law school, he was a Senior Software Engineer at Meta in its AI Solutions and Central Integrity organizations, where he led teams that applied AI to platform safety and AI safety problems, including improving the accuracy of content moderation. As an undergraduate student, he was a fellow in the ethics of AI at the University of Toronto, and he is now a teaching fellow for Ethics in the Age of AI at Harvard College. Last summer, Evan interned at SpaceX AI on their litigation team. He is excited about discussions of the ethical implications and use of AI.
Jacob Levine
Jacob Levine is a 3L at Harvard Law School focused on near-term AI safety and regulation, particularly liability regimes and public-private coordination on AI emergency preparedness. His background intersects international policy and emerging technologies, including aerospace and major tech platforms. He has worked at McKool Smith and Cleary Gottlieb on IP litigation and early AI products liability matters. At HLS, he serves as Symposium Editor of the Harvard Journal of Law and Technology and a Research Assistant at the Berkman Klein Center.
Umang Bansal
Umang is a rising 2L from Section 7. This summer, she is a summer research fellow at the Institute for Law and AI. Previously she received her Masters degree in artificial intelligence from MIT.
Maxwell VanLandschoot
Maxwell is a 2L from Denver, Colorado. He spent his 1L summer with the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee working with the oversight & investigations team, and the science subcommittee on AI policy. Prior to law school, Maxwell was a Schwarzman Scholar at Tsinghua University where he wrote his Master’s capstone on AI and the legal field in collaboration with Microsoft Research Asia, and was a federally licensed nuclear reactor operator. He will spend his 2L summer with Davis Polk in San Fransisco.
