Matthew McLean is the Founder and Managing Partner of Endsight Consulting, an advisory firm he established in 2011 that works at the intersection of governance and investment in Africa. Endsight partners with African presidencies to enhance performance and positioning for greater access to donor and investor funding, while also guiding U.S. and Western companies in navigating business opportunities across the African continent.

Prior to founding Endsight, Matthew served for 20 years in the U.S. government, holding senior roles across the White House (under Presidents Clinton and Bush), U.S. Congress, USAID, the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), and the intelligence community. His work has spanned policy, development, and national security, giving him a deep and multifaceted understanding of U.S.–Africa relations.

Through Endsight, Matthew continues to bridge public and private sector expertise to support impactful partnerships and investment strategies in Africa.
