Elizabeth Adeyemo
Elizabeth Adeyemo (PhD) is a heritage specialist with over a decade of experience in heritage development. Her academic training and professional experiences cover archaeology, conservation science, and heritage development. As a researcher and educator, Elizabeth investigates technology and craft production in ancient West African societies relevant to understanding West Africa’s participation in globalization processes and the sustained impact of these histories. Elizabeth supports scaling infrastructures to advance crafts and heritage practice across West Africa through the Museum of West African Art (MOWAA).
Her scholarship has been generously supported by various institutions including Qatar Foundation, Wenner Gren Foundation, The Kellogg Institute, The Pamoja Institute, and the Graduate School at the University of Notre Dame. Elizabeth has taught at the University of Ibadan and currently teaches at the University of Notre Dame. Elizabeth is passionate about mentorship and actively supports upward mobility through education in African communities.
