Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong is a distinguished Ghanaian entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience, leading multiple successful enterprises collectively called The Special Group of Companies Limited. The Group includes the Special Investments Ltd which is one of the largest real estate portfolios in Ghana and Special Ice Company Limited which produces most of the beverages consumed in the country. He co-owns U2 iodated salt and United Television with the latter being one of the most viewed TV Stations in the country.

Dr Ernest Ofori Sarpong also co-owns Best Point Savings and Loans which is currently the number one Savings and Loans in Ghana. His businesses have created over 3,000 jobs, contributing significantly to Ghana’s economy.

An alumnus of the leading Senior High School in Ghana, PRESEC, he holds a finance and investment management degree from the University of Salford, UK, and is a Chartered Accountant. His leadership extends across various boards, including PRESEC’s Governing Council, Emy Awards, and the Millennium Excellence Foundation. He sits on the Board of several companies and NGOs in the country

Beyond business, Dr. Sarpong is a philanthropist, having served on the National COVID-19 Trust Fund, and is dedicated to empowering young Africans and fostering sustainable growth. His numerous awards highlight his influence in the business community
