In the words of one of the HLS community members who nominated Ms. Chacón, “Her passion for criminal justice and immigration law shines through in the classroom. Outside of the classroom, Professor Chacon’s commitment to her students is inspiring–she is always willing to make extra time or go the extra mile.” One of Ms. Chacón’s messages to her students is that external metrics, “are not a measure of our worth, that life is long, and that success can be self-defined.”
