{"id":1081,"date":"2018-08-23T01:47:24","date_gmt":"2018-08-23T01:47:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hlsorgs3stg.wpenginepowered.com\/wla\/?page_id=1081"},"modified":"2025-07-30T21:04:57","modified_gmt":"2025-07-30T21:04:57","slug":"shatter-awards","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/orgs.law.harvard.edu\/wla\/events\/shatter-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Shatter Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Each spring, the Women\u2019s Law Association recognizes professors teaching at HLS whom students feel represent the gold standard for promoting inclusiveness and equality, both through the content they teach and through their actions inside and outside the classroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, in recognition of both the critical role staff plays in the HLS community, as well as the important work done by graduates who work after law school on causes related to equity and social justice, the WLA honors staff and recent or under-recognized alumni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These&nbsp;<strong>\u201cShatter the Ceiling\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;awards are intended to give a platform and recognition to HLS community members who actively advance racial and gender equity, practice inclusive mentorship and community building, and foster difficult conversations.
