Partners of the WLA
Partners of the WLA was founded in 2017, with the goal of including men and the greater law school community in the conversation on gender equity.
Run by the WLA members on the Partnership Committee, as well as the male student leaders of Partners of the WLA themselves, this initiative seeks to foster collaboration and conversation amongst the legal community on the importance of gender equity and how to achieve it.
Successful advocacy for gender equity and women’s rights does not exist in a vacuum, and proactive involvement of men is critical to winning the fight. Accordingly, Partners of the WLA hosts events with industry leaders known for their successful advancement of gender equity in the workplace, small group dinners to foster conversation on campus, and social events geared towards raising awareness of gender disparities at HLS and in the legal profession.
Partners of the WLA also circulates articles and resources to help men and women develop greater understanding of workplace gender disparities and how to close the gap. For more information, see the list of articles and resources posted below.
