Welcome to V-GLASS!
The Harvard Video Game Law Association (“V-GLASS”) offers a platform for discussing video games, virtual worlds, and the various legal disciplines that bisect them. In recent years, video gaming has transitioned from a subculture to a mainstream behemoth—creating new opportunities at the intersection of privacy, intellectual property, fintech, and employment law. We offer a range of lectures from experts in the video game industry and facilitate discussions among industry leaders, legal professionals, students, and faculty. We aim to familiarize students with the legal matters that concern industry stakeholders right now and better prepare them to create and practice the law in this space. We also recognize that video games are a source of fun and connection for people all over the world, so we host social events that allow students to enjoy playing games, meet fellow gamers, and realize why the industry is growing so rapidly.
