“The hardest thing in the world to understand is the income tax.”
There’s no need to struggle or guess on your taxes this year. TaxHelp is a student-run organization at the Harvard Law School dedicated to providing free tax preparation services to people in the Cambridge area. Since 2014, TaxHelp has filed over 600 returns and refunded over three-quarters of a million dollars from state and federal taxes, including over $250,000 in Earned Income Credits.
All volunteer students are IRS Certified in tax law through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program. We are here to answer your questions and can electronically file your taxes on site. No gimmicks, no giveaways, no dancing statutes; just friendly and accurate service.
Even if you do not owe any taxes, you may still be entitled to a refund. Several credits, including the Earned Income Credit, Child Tax Credit, and education credits, are often refundable, meaning you may still be entitled to a refund from the government.
