Dan Cohen<\/span> is a 3L from Jamison, Pennsylvania. He studied Economics and Security and Risk Analysis at Penn State University, but spent most of his time there competing with the mock trial team. After graduating,\u00a0Dan<\/span>\u00a0worked for two years as a grants management consultant while assisting his high school mock trial program. If not studying or working on mock trial,\u00a0Dan<\/span>\u00a0is probably on a walk, making homemade pasta sauce, or befriending the cashier at Homegoods while purchasing his seventh candle of the month.<\/p>\n

Hailey is a 2L from Oceanport, NJ! Prior to HLS, she attended George Washington University and competed on their Mock Trial team before working as a regulatory paralegal at a law firm in Washington, DC for two years. Outside of Mock (and studying, of course), Hailey loves to cook and bake, and discover fun things to do (and eat) around Cambridge and Boston! Hailey is also a member of the Women\u2019s Law Association and has worked on the Journal of Law and Technology.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Grace Jackson is a 2L from West Linn, Oregon, and attended Pitzer College where she double majored in History and Science, Technology, and Society (STS). Her undergrad did not have a mock trial team so she filled the void with a writing fellowship, D3 lacrosse, and Student Senate. She was thrilled to coach a high school mock trial team during her stint in Americorps after graduation. Grace is involved with the Journal of Law and Technology (JOLT), First Class, Women\u2019s Law Association, AI Association, and Mock Trial (duh)! She plans to work in IP litigation, with the long-term goal of hopefully being able to help reshape digital data privacy policies. In her free time, you can find her playing guitar, practicing yoga, and preparing her Survivor audition tape.<\/p>\n

She studied international studies, political science, German and environmental studies at Johns Hopkins University, where she competed on the mock trial team and graduated in 2023. She worked at the Baltimore Office of the Public Defender before coming to HLS. On campus she is involved with the Prison Legal Assistance Project and the Women\u2019s Law Association. She enjoys running and baking in her free time, usually in that order.<\/p>\n

Mia is involved with the Mississippi Delta Project at HLS and hopes to pursue litigation after law school.<\/p>\n

Spencer Thieme is a 3L from Seattle, WA (somehow) on her 9th year of mock trial. She competed for University of Washington her freshman year before transferring and joining Cornell Mock Trial. As a true Seattleite she loves overcast weather, lives off of Trader Joes, and probably drinks too much coffee. She also takes great pride in her ability to find hidden study spots on campus.<\/p>\n

Alyssa is a 2L born and raised in Chicago. She graduated from the University of Southern California in 2023 with a B.A. in political science. Before law school, she worked as a substitute science teacher in Chicago Public Schools and later on Governor Pritzker\u2019s General Counsel team. At HLS, Alyssa is involved with Harvard Defenders, La Alianza, the Latin American Law Review, and is a Proctor in Harvard College. Griffin Hehmeyer is a 1L from Seattle, WA. He studied Philosophy and Comparative History of Ideas at the University of Washington, where he led the school’s debate team. He came straight through from undergrad and hopes to pursue a career in litigation, ideally getting into the courtroom once or twice. At HLS, Griffin has also gotten involved with Dems and ACS, with his eyes set on competing in Ames as well. Evan is a 2L from Toronto, Canada. He studied Computer Science and Political Theory at the University of Toronto, where he also led the American Mock Trial team. Prior to law school, Evan worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Meta in its AI Solutions and Central Integrity organizations, where he led teams that applied AI to address safety problems such as increasing the accuracy of content moderation decisions. Evan is excited about trial work around technology and torts. Domenick Bailey is a 3L from Woodbridge, VA. After studying psychology and sociology at the University of Virginia, Dom worked on Capitol Hill as a Policy Aide prior to law school. A latecomer to Mock Trial, Dom took the Trial Advocacy Workshop and fell in love with the advocacy and storytelling aspects of trial work. Before law school, she studied Government and Psychology at Georgetown University and competed with the Georgetown moot court team.
