About Us

The Harvard Jewish Law Students Association (JLSA) is a cultural, social, educational, and religious organization that reflects the varied interests of the Jewish student community of Harvard Law School. The organization consists of more than 400 HLS students, Boston-area graduate school students, and others who are interested in Jewish legal affairs or the affairs of the Jewish community at Harvard Law School. Membership is open to all law students.

Over the past few years, our regular events have included a Boston Harbor Boat Cruise, Purim Megillah Reading, Law School Shabbat Dinner, Chanukah party, Trivia Bar Night, and a weekly Lunch and Learn series. We have hosted countless speakers, both from the Harvard community and well beyond, including Chief Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks of England who spoke on campus this past fall.

Many of our programs are co-sponsored by other Harvard Law School groups and groups at other Harvard graduate schools, such as Comedy clip night with the Black Law Students Association, Kosher Wine and Cheese tasting with the Business School and Kennedy School, and a school-wide Dinner for Darfur charity event. We also enjoy support and resources from Harvard Hillel and the Chabad House at Harvard.
