Adelle Goldenberg, President<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adelle is a 2L from Brooklyn, New York. She values open inquiry as a means of respecting each person\u2019s capacity to think for themselves, and for its role in fostering a vibrant, peaceful, and pluralistic society. She is interested in exploring why people believe what they believe, and how to productively manage tensions between the value of open inquiry and other values, such as respect for human dignity. Before law school, she pursued graduate studies in feminist, moral, and political philosophy. In law school, she is also a Selections Editor for the Harvard Journal of Law & Gender<\/em> and a Youth Advocacy Fellow. One of her views that has stirred much controversy is that she rejects the necessity of rooting for one\u2019s hometown team (and has the Red Sox gear to prove it).  <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Lisandro Berry Gaviria, Vice President<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lisandro is a 2L from Bowdoinham, Maine. He is a 2024 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where he majored in political science and economics. At Harvard, he is a member of the Federalist Society and a Deputy Managing Editor for the Journal of Law & Public Policy<\/em>, and spent his 1L summer as a litigation fellow at the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE). He believes open inquiry is crucial to understanding not only other people’s perspectives, but also our own: as John Stuart Mill famously wrote, “He who knows only his own side of the case, knows little of that.” One of Lisandro’s views that has stirred much controversy is that he rejects the necessity of rooting for one’s hometown team (and has the Yankees gear to prove it).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Maddie Naisbitt, Director of Programming<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maddie is a 2L from the suburbs of Chicago studying women’s rights and international law. She received her bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University in International Politics. Outside of Open Inquiry, she is a part of HLS Advocates for Human Rights, Mock Trial, and the Latin American Law Review<\/em>. Her most controversial opinion (at least to her fellow lesbians) is that astrology is boring in addition to being meritless.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Ripken Holt, Director of Partnerships<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ripken is a 2L from Raleigh, North Carolina. He graduated from Liberty University in 2021 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is the Vice President of Membership for the Harvard Federalist Society. He is also a committed Christian and the Vice President of the Harvard Law chapter of Christian Union. He believes the open discussion of controversial subjects is essential to a free society. In his first year of law school, he led a Harvard-funded initiative to bring students from across the aisle together to discuss contentious social questions.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
