The Francophonie, it’s one language, but it’s also 274 million people across 5 continents, and it is this diversity we want to celebrate!

The Francophone Society is a student-run organization at HLS concerned with fostering interest for Francophone countries and cultures, as well as the French language among HLS members.

Founded in 1817 in Cambridge MA, HLS is the oldest continuously operating law school in the United States. It is one of the most prestigious school in the world, and is ranked 1st law school worldwide by the QS World University Rankings.

Students can benefit from unique resources and teaching: the faculty includes more than 100 full-time professors and more than 150 visiting professors, and is home to the largest academic law library in the world

Each year, roughly 1,990 students coming from 70 different countries -including J.D., LL.M. and S.J.D. students- attend HLS.
