The Disability Allyship Pledge, created by disabled Harvard Law students, outlines ways everyone can better support students with disabilities at Harvard Law School. Specifically, it details four commitments:
- Don’t self-assess a person’s level of disability or the validity of their aids and accommodations.
- Listen to and believe your disabled friends and peers
- Don’t reduce disability into a reason to feel inspired to overcome your own challenges or to feel grateful.
- Promote and model inclusion
