Co-President<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Michael is a 2L from Bethesda, Maryland. He graduated from UPenn in 2022, worked for campaigns in the Philly region, and was the Research Director at Democracy Defenders Action. Outside of Dems, his HLS involvements include the Election Law Clinic, Equal Democracy Project, and flag football.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n Co-President<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Aastha is a 1L from Jacksonville, FL. She graduated with a degree in criminology and geography from the University of Florida in 2023 (go gators!!). At HLS, Aastha is also involved with the Public Interest Law Collective and Harvard Legal Aid Bureau. In her free time, she enjoys rock climbing, reading fiction, and taking the train down to Rhode Island!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n Chief of Staff<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Daniel is a 1L from Lake Hopatcong, NJ. He graduated from Yale College in 2021, where he earned a B.S. in data science and global affairs. Prior to law school, he served as an advisor to Chair Lina Khan at the Federal Trade Commission, working to advance competition policy and consumer protection initiatives in technology, healthcare, agriculture, and other critical sectors of the economy. Daniel will split his 1L summer between the Antitrust Section of the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n Finance Director <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Adam is a 1L from Raleigh, North Carolina. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 2023, where he studied History and was a War & Peace Fellow at the Dickey Center for International Understanding. Before law school, he served as Chief of Staff to Lt. Col. (Ret.) Alexander Vindman, working on national security policy initiatives and humanitarian programs supporting Ukraine. Adam will spend his 1L summer interning for Judge Andrew L. Carter Jr. on the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n Campaigns Director<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Owen is a 1L from Madison, New Jersey. After attending Princeton University, Owen worked for three years as a strategy consultant in the global development sector. At HLS, Owen is a member of the Equal Democracy Project and the Journal of Law and Technology. Owen will spend her 1L summer on the Special Litigation Team of the Office of the New Jersey Attorney General.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n Speakers Director<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Tyler is a 1L from Orange County, California. He graduated from UC Berkeley before working for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee during the 2022 midterm cycle. He then worked on Capitol Hill as a communications staffer for Congresswoman Brittany Pettersen (CO-07). At HLS, he is involved in the American Constitution Society and is passionate about electoral law and public accountability. Outside of school, he can be found making TikToks with his girlfriend.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n Membership Director<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Nia is a 1L from Rockville, Maryland. She graduated from American University School of International Service with a degree in International Studies. Prior to law school, Nia interned for the office of Senator Ben Cardin and served as the Restorative Practices Program Director for the Conflict Resolution Center of Montgomery County. At HLS, she is involved with the Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review Journal, HLS Negotiators, HBLSA, and is an upcoming Criminal Law Teaching Fellow and Research Assistant. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n Advising Director<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Sydney is a 2L from Duluth, Minnesota, and attended George Washington University for undergrad. She is passionate about leveraging legal design to close the access to justice gap. She spent her 1L summer in Budapest, working on rule of law with the Hungarian Helsinki Committee.
