Before coming to HLS he spent just over ten years in the Marine Corps as a pilot, deploying overseas three times. The son of a pastor, Jon grew up in church and was tremendously blessed to find Christian community at HLS in Christian Union, even before classes began in the fall of 2019. Through weekly Bible studies, times of prayer and worship, and fellowship with other believers, CU has been a tremendous blessing, both to Jon and his wife Amber.

“I am excited to serve with CU this year and to reach my fellow students with the Gospel of Christ as they return to campus. I’m so excited to serve as co-president this upcoming year. My husband, Christian, and I have been involved in CU since our first year of college, and we both experienced enormous spiritual growth thanks to the mentorship of CU’s ministry fellows. Throughout the many seasons of life, my favorite verse has been in John 6, when Peter turns to Jesus and says “To whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life, and we have believed and come to know that You are the Holy One of God.” My prayer for HLS is that we would know and experience the goodness of Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit.

I love getting coffee with new friends, so please reach out if you have any questions about HLS or CU!

Isabel Espinosa-Schatz, JD ’23 – Co-President

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mission Statement
Christian Union at Harvard Law School is a community of students and their families who love Jesus and desire to express that love with the community at HLS. As a student organization, we seek to study the Bible rigorously, pray for revival relentlessly and see God powerfully change lives.
If you’d like to learn more about Christian Union, please visit their website here.
2021-2022 Leadership Team
Co-Presidents:
– Jon DeWitt, JD ’22 (jdewitt@jd22.law.harvard.edu)
– Isabel Espinosa-Schatz, JD ’23 (iespinosamoguel@jd23.law.harvard.edu)
Campus Staff
Justin Yim, Ministry Director with Christian Union Gloria Law, justin.yim@christianunion.org
For the latest updates on events, gatherings, and opportunities, subscribe below or here!
Welcome to the Christian Union Community!
