Though there are considerable similarities between Canada and the U.S., we nonetheless found a desire to have a means of gathering Canadians studying at Harvard Law.

We have formed the CLSA, a student-run organization at Harvard Law School, to serve as a venue for convening. The CLSA serves two functions. First, we are a social group that enjoys each other’s company and conversation. Whether it is catching up on Canadian politics and current affairs, or simply hanging out and chatting about home, Canadians at Harvard enjoy having the CLSA community a part of their lives.

Our second function is a resource for professional issues. Though institutional knowledge and our alumni networks, we have familiarity with matters including: Canadian clerkships, the Canadian hiring market, the re-accreditation process, and the Canadian legal landscape. Additionally, Visa issues that are unique to Canadians can often find an answer within the CLSA community.

Contact Us

Canadians are a well-represented group at Harvard Law.
