The H.O.M.E. Committee assists first-year and transfer students in the transition to law school, Harvard, and the greater Boston community.
This committee’s notable programs include:
- Cape Cod Orientation Weekend – HBLSA’s yearly excursion to Cape Cod includes food, fun, drinks, games, and most importantly, instant love for your fellow BLSA siblings beginning their journey at Harvard Law School.
- Black Faculty Reception – In an effort to connect the Black faculty of Harvard Law School with current students, HBLSA sponsors a special dinner during the Fall. This dinner provides an ideal opportunity for the magnificently talented Black HLS professors to connect with the next generation of Black legal minds.
- Black Faculty Lunch Series – A continuation of the Black Faculty Reception, the Orientation Committee organizes a series of lunchtime discussions with Black members of the Harvard Law School faculty.
