Before law school, he obtained an MS in Computer Science from Stanford University and worked as a machine learning engineer at Meta, focusing on advertisement ranking optimization and ML tools on Messenger, Instagram, and WhatsApp. He prosecuted AI and semiconductor patents at Fish & Richardson and will practice corporate transactional law at Davis Polk & Wardwell. Outside of AIA, he is Operations Editor of the Journal of Law and Technology and Social Chair of the Korean Association of HLS.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n\n\n

Evan is a 2L from Toronto. Before law school, he was a Senior Software Engineer at Meta in its AI Solutions and Central Integrity organizations, where he led teams that applied AI to platform safety and AI safety problems, including improving the accuracy of content moderation. As an undergraduate student, he was a fellow in the ethics of AI at the University of Toronto, and he is now a teaching fellow for Ethics in the Age of AI at Harvard College. Last summer, Evan interned at SpaceX AI on their litigation team. He is excited about discussions of the ethical implications and use of AI.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n\n

He has worked at McKool Smith and Cleary Gottlieb on IP litigation and early AI products liability matters. At HLS, he serves as Symposium Editor of the Harvard Journal of Law and Technology and a Research Assistant at the Berkman Klein Center.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n\n
