His appointment in 2025 as Ghana\u2019s first Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment has brought his commitment to national development to the forefront.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css_animation=”fadeInUp” css=”” el_class=”white_txt”]Currently serving his second term as the National Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ghana\u2019s ruling party, George is a charismatic and progressive leader. Under his stewardship, the Youth Wing has become one of the most vibrant and influential units of the party, championing ideals of accountability, equity, and youth empowerment. The Youth Wing also played a significant role in the unprecedented 2024 election victory for President Mahama, implementing innovative plans and activities that culminated in the launch of the NDC Youth Manifesto, a first in Ghana’s history.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css_animation=”fadeInUp” css=”” el_class=”white_txt”]His public service career began in 2009 when he made history as the youngest person, at 27 years old, to be appointed as Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Akuapem North Municipal Assembly by President John Evans Atta Mills. His two-term tenure as MCE from 2009 to 2017 was marked by significant transformation and development within the municipality.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css_animation=”fadeInUp” css=”” el_class=”white_txt”]George attended Achimota Primary School and then the prestigious Adisadel College, before pursuing a bachelor\u2019s degree in philosophy and psychology from the University of Ghana, where he was a proud member of the Commonwealth Hall. He also holds an Executive Master\u2019s Degree in Governance and Leadership, as well as a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), and was called to the Ghana Bar in 2019.
